The crossover between the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime and Cyberpunk 2077 brought a variety of exciting collectibles into Night City. Among the most sought-after items is the iconic yellow EMT jacket once worn by the anime's protagonist, David Martinez. Tracking down this legendary piece of gear requires players to complete a specific side quest called Over the Edge, which blends investigative exploration with compelling narrative ties to the animated series.
Finding the Edgerunners Braindance in Santo Domingo
Your search for the legendary outfit begins in the colorful district of Santo Domingo, specifically near the Megabuilding H4 residential complex. Venture toward the alleyways located near the building's base and keep a sharp eye out for a green neon symbol painted onto a wall. In a trash bin directly beneath this emblem, you will discover a discarded braindance wreath that triggers a brief but nostalgic clip from the anime series.
Watching this recording officially initiates the Over the Edge quest line in your journal log. The short video clip serves as a warning about the dangers of cyberpsychosis, echoing the tragic journey of the anime characters. Once the sequence concludes, your next step is to investigate the origin of the recording by messaging a prominent local fixer.
Communicating with Muamar El Capitan Reyes
After experiencing the mysterious braindance, open your in-game phone interface to message Muamar Reyes, famously known in Night City as El Capitan. Ask the fixer about David Martinez to gather more details regarding the legendary mercenary and his crew. Reyes will promise to dig into his data networks and requests that you wait for a response while he contacts his underground sources.
To progress the mission, you must allow twenty-four hours of in-game time to pass in the virtual world. You can easily achieve this by using the skip time function in your main menu or by completing separate side activities across the district. Once the required time has passed, El Capitan will send a follow-up text message directing you to a specific drop point.
Claiming the Legendary Yellow Jacket
The coordinator coordinates will lead you directly to a storage case located on the rooftop behind El Capitan's usual hangout spot in Santo Domingo. Clamber up the building structure to reach the designated quest marker overlooking the expansive industrial skyline. Inside the container, you will find a special gift left behind by Falco, one of the surviving members of David's original crew.
Opening this container officially rewards you with the legendary cosmetic item, allowing you to equip it immediately from your inventory screen. The bright yellow EMT jacket features excellent base stats alongside mod slots to improve your combat effectiveness. Beyond its functional utility, wearing this gear allows players to pay homage to the beloved animated adaptation while exploring the dark streets of the futuristic metropolis.
